Started in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya, Box Girls Kenya is an organization that looks to improve girls living in the slums’ confidence and leadership abilities through boxing. Their goal is to give the girls strength and shape them into community leaders.

This short documentary by Actuality Media follows Sonko, one of the organization’s original students, who has boxed her way to the Kenyan national team.
