In the heart of the Congo’s war-torn landscape, two doctors risk their lives to treat survivors of rape and sexual violence. German physician Gisela Schneider and Congolese gynecologist Denis Mukwege are on a mission to heal the broken bodies and restore the shattered spirits of the Congolese population.
The world-renowned Doctor Mukwege is known as a “Miracle Worker” for his ability to save thousands of women who have been ravaged by brutal attacks. Schneider is the head of the German Institute for Medical Mission and has worked alongside Mukwege for years to help raise awareness of the horrific situation facing women in the DRC. Together, they battle against armed groups that are terrorizing their communities, all in the hopes of creating a future filled with unbreakable hope, courage, and faith.
