The Zeitgeist Movement is not a political movement. It does not recognize nations, governments, races, religions, creeds or class. Our understanding concluded that these distinctions are false, outdated, they are far from positive factors for true collective human growth and potential. They are based in the division of power and stratification, not unity and equality, which is our goal.

While it is important to understand that everything in life is a natural progression, we must also recognize the reality that the human species has the ability to slow dramatically and paralyze progress, through social structures that are out of date, dogmatic, and therefore outside in accordance with nature. The world you see today, full of war, corruption, elitism, pollution, poverty, epidemics, human rights abuses, inequality and crime is the result of this paralysis.

This movement is about awareness, in avocation of a fluid evolutionary progress, both personal, social, technological and spiritual. Recognizes that the human species is in a natural way for unification, derived from a common recognition of the fundamental and empirical understanding about how nature works and how we as humans fit into / are part of this development that we call life universal .

Although this path does not exist, it is unfortunately hindered and not recognized by the vast majority of humans who continue to perpetuate outdated degenerative modes and therefore, conduct and association. It is this intellectual irrelevancy which the Zeitgeist Movement hopes to overcome through education and social action.

The movement itself is not a centralized building. We are not here to lead, but to organize and educate.

It may not work my wonderful zeitgeist friend. Too many powers that be may end up shutting them down or worse “eliminating” the threat. We need another answer. But the answers we seek won’t be quick and easy. Something of this magnitude will take so much time. The entire planet as a whole, in complete Doubtless Unison must speak out in 1 glorious voice. We will no longer betray ourselves & no longer believe that our governments are correct. We will take back our NATURAL FREEDOMS & DEMAND CHANGE.

  2. (cont…) group evolution (which could not be possible without ineracting and distinct groups) has made us a compassionate species ( traits such as compassion cannot evolve just by a “survival of the fittest” mechanism as they are altruistic). Unfortunately, evolution is a slow process, we just need to be patient and stop fighting the process, and each other. Feel free to disagree, but don’t mark this as spam, as that would be completely hypocritical if you agree with this movement.

  3. (cont…) the problem with ideolgies is that they are idealistic, nothing is ever that black and white, there are only shades of grey and you can never please everyone. The most important point however is that such massive changes in a society can only come about quickly through war. The only alternatives are to create a seperate enclavem or wait for the current system to evolve. This is happening as the majority of us are good people, who want6 things to be better and fair, because (cont…)

  4. I think there are some interesting ideas here, and I agree with a lot of the points that are made, but every time I try to consider the feasability of creating such a perfet “utopian” system, I always come to the same conclusion; that someone or something will always be in control, and also that the majority of people would still be a cog in the machine, like a bee working to continue the hive without any time for itself, or free will. The communist ideal springs to mind (cont…)

I still feel that religion is the biggest obstacle to the world that they are describing here. Everyone thinks members of thier religion are more entitled then everyone else to the Earth’s resourses, that everyone in the world should worship their god, and it’s almost impossible to change thier minds. Maybe we can build the Zeitgeist world in small enclaves to start, with non-religious people, and then it will grow when others see how wonderful it is.

because you fear the monitoring of all the worlds resources by a supercomputer would resemble the fictional world of ’1984′ i guess. realise the world you live in today is almost that world already, your computer, electronic ID, your GPS, mobile phone, creditcards, streetcamera’s… all keep information about you. information accesible by private companies, governments or anyone with some IT skill. i’m not very fond of the centralised supercomputer myself but agree with many of TZM’s ideas

  7. Highlander1G says:

@acasocasual – And yet you and many others do it every day. Do you allow a GPS unit to tell you how to get from A to B? Credit scores generated by computer have been proven correct on the feasibility of approving loans. Watch the movie “Moneyball” and you’ll learn about sabermetrics beating the baseball scouts. It’s been proven time and time and time again that computerized algorithmic prediction beats human judgement up, down and all around.

  8. jojo191519 says:

as much as i love these ideas, they’re all in the other movies as well. i didn’t learn a thing i hadn’t already learned from other films. the title made me think it was about how to put these ideas into use… something the movement has so far not answered.

  9. MrEmpathicus says:

@acasocasual PJ does have a bit of a funny turn of phrase sometimes. He could have just said “google global resource tracking systems to see how this technology is already in place in many areas” but that would have been lazy :P

  10. MrEmpathicus says:

@acasocasual I’m not sure. Have you read 1984 (or seen the excellent film adaptation staring John Hurt)? Orwell was socialist leaning and wouldn’t approve of our current social situation. Airstrip One in the book is the antithesis of the decentralised, distributed model proposed by TZM. It may surprise you to know that the internet and freedom of info would be vital in creating the RBE. 1984 is only possible with top down power / control of info. Heard of ACTA or SOPA?

  11. MrEmpathicus says:

@acasocasual You have been allowing it for a long time already. Decisions are made by computers all the time, from the air bag in your car to ‘auto-pilot’ on long flights. Hospital equipment and factory automation make adjustments and decisions with more efficiency than humans ever could. What’s 18538532 x 324? You are not allowed to use a calculator! :P

  12. willem1196 says:

@BRYAN351 And what exactly is wrong with that. Futhermore TVP transends political ideology. It`s about using the sientific method not the emotional method which I suspect you`re using. Think about it and be honest to yourself.

  13. rascalferret says:

At 3 minute mark I literally said “NO SH*T,no wonder I’m miffed”.The funny thing is,I’ve known all this stuff since high school 30 yrs ago,but not how to change it.If my paycheck floats me,it’s another good day. It’s sad how much of an evil and shallow scam the money system really is.I hope for the sake of my kids and thier offspring this RBE concept becomes reality,so obvious.Surely the blindness of monetary power will block and debunk this seemingly sensible theory.I will research this more.THX

  14. ePoNa1One1 says:

@mercianproductions Not at all. We will be educators, scientists, engineers, artists, musicians, entertainers, entrepreneurs, or whatever you wish. Manual labor which you are conditioned upon will become irrelevant to our everyday lives. You must understand.

  15. CountToBen says:

One question I have. If in a RBE items were built to their highest possibly quality, wouldn’t technology advancements eventually make it obsolete? We would then have no use for this thing that was built to last forever. I guess the only solution to this would be to build things upgradeable, improvable, and interchangeable.

  16. SirCottonMouth says:

@mercianproductions not at all…. with money out of the way and technology made the prime focus of humanity we could be doing what we love, the happiness you get from a holiday away with people you love, that happiness would be a reality permanently, the ability to travel anywhere in the world, explore anything you wish to, follow your lives ambitions without being held back by a dead end factory job 5 days a week just to pay bills and eat… i know what life i would choose

  17. I wonder how many people in the Zeitgeist Movement actually want to contribute to achieving it’s ends rather than sitting round all day, doing nothing, simply waiting for it to happen….? I reckon it’s about 99.999999%.

  18. So we simply scrap whatever it is we’re doing and devote all our time, effort and brainpower to inventing robots that think for us, work for us, and tell to run our lives… Then when this eventually happens, we simply sit around all day, doing absolutely nothing for 100-odd years until we die… No thanks.

  19. BadPotat0 says:

I think the biggest flaws in this video is that there still some danger in relation with resource-based system. Here it look way to much like somekind of utopia, even if this actually aim for simply put, a better world. Anyway, I’ll admit that there a lot of very instructive stuff… keep pointing flaw out.

  20. thegrink says:

I think its a truly fantastic notion – but there is one very simple question towering over this poor shmuck here: how do you convince the people who have everything without violence? I am an easy sell. But I am neither wealthy, nor privledged…..
