Answer: Instead of the inexplicable universe come into existence from an initial singularity, mysterious, the Big Bang was a collision between two universes like ours existing as parallel membranes floating in a higher dimensional space that we are not aware.

An explosion followed by another in a potentially infinite number of cosmic cycles, each of them will cause the disappearance of a universe and the beginning of a new one. It is an explosion, but many.

Sir Roger Penrose has changed his mind about the Big Bang. Now imagine an eternal cycle of expanding universe, where matter is converted into energy and vice versa in the birth of new universes and so on and so on.
