For decades, the Rockefeller name was despised in the United States associated with the monopoly of John D. Rockefeller Sr. ‘s feared, the Standard Oil.

At the end of his life, Rockefeller had given half his fortune, but even his most philanthropy could not erase the memory of his predatory business practices.

His only son, John D. Rockefeller Jr., he would dedicate his life to recast the image of the family. In search of redemption and respectability, Junior is giving away hundreds of millions of dollars, and who insist that their six children behave impeccably.

His contributions transformed America. When he died at age 86, Junior left his six children and 22 grandchildren an invaluable heritage: a name that did not represent corporate greed, but for the welfare of mankind.
