Sleep is a naturally recurring state of mind and body. It is characterized by altered consciousness, relatively inhibited sensory activity, reduced muscled activity, and inhibition of nearly all voluntary muscles.

Recommendations are to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep daily for a healthy life. Do you want to know what happens with your mind while sleeping?

How many times have you thought you are wide awake while sleeping? Or that you remember everything that happened during sleep?

Well, we spend one third of our lives sleeping. And that applies to every organism on Earth. We all rely on sleep for survival.

Yet, science still hasn’t answered the fundamental question. Why does sleep exist? With that in mind, this documentary tries to provide an answer to what happens while we sleep.
