Geoff James Nugent or professionally called Jim Jefferies is an Australian stand-up comedian, actor and writer. He does lots of different genres of comedy like insult comedy, black comedy, blue comedy and observational comedy. His popularity on the international scene he achieved at the Manchester Comedy Store after he was attacked onstage because of his insulting jokes. The main subjects, he uses to create his jokes are alcoholism, religion, sex, celebrities and recreational drug use. The debut stand-up special on HBO made him well known in the US.

Jim released several stand-up comedy DVDs, like “Contraband” in 2008 which was a limited edition of 5000 copies, after that he did “I Swear to God” in 2009, “Alcoholocaust” was released in 2010 by Comedy Central UK, 2012 the “Fully Functional” DVD was released and the last stand-up show was “Bare” in 2014 by Netflix.

He did also a lot of TV appearances in various shows and interviews. Today he is considered as one of the funniest comedians of all time with others like Louie CK, Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle, Chris Rock and lots of others.
