When people think of deadly drugs, heroin and cocaine are on top of the list. The reality is that drug dealers and drug manufacturers have found many ways to produce drugs even deadlier than heroin.
The worst part is, most of the drugs that are just as deadly or deadlier than heroin, actually have a purpose.
Take fentanyl for example. Fentanyl is an opioid that has been used with other medications for anesthesia. On its own, fentanyl can be used as a pain medication.
But drug manufacturers take advantage of drugs like fentanyl. Remember, heroin was once a legal opioid used as a pain medication.
This documentary takes a look at fentanyl, and how the drug has caused a massive crisis in Canada. Soon enough, we might expect drugs like fentanyl to take over the heroin market.
Told form a perspective of drug users, the video has a personal touch. The video has been edited due to privacy issues.
