Nowadays, Dubai is one of the most luxurious cities in the world. It is one of the most expensive, glamorous, and everything else money-wise. But it wasn’t always the case.

Rewind back to the 1990s, and Dubai was a backwater in the desert. The total GDP of United Arab Emirates stood at $50 billion. Today, it is more than $360 billion.

In the 1990s, Sheikh Zayed Road was a desert strip. There was not a sign of large and tall buildings. Nobody could imagined back then building of the Burj Khalifa.

Looking at video and pictures from the time, you might not even recognize the city. And that is this video for. To see how far the city has advanced thanks to oil money.
