"David Beckham had the chance to lead his team to win the World cup in Germany in 2006. This documentary by Tim Lovejoy for ITV1 takes the viewers up, close and personal with him and gives us a sneak peek into his world and his journey through life.

Beckham, a once skinny boy from Leytonstone, grew up to rule millions of hearts and became one of the most revered names in the history of Football. He pin points specific events and incidents which shaped his career as we know today.

Beckham’s practice and training sessions for the biggest challenge of his career are traced by Tim, which includes playing with Real Madrid, practicing his legendry free kicks, playing against Arsenal in the Champions League and facing the media at England football team’s press conferences.

Beckham in this exclusive documentary unravels some of his plans for the future and gives a personal tour of The David Beckham Academy, a state of the art coaching facilities for honing the skills of the budding stars of tomorrow, founded in a quest to give back to the game some part of what it had given him!"
