Amy Winehouse was a popular singer and songwriter, winner of 5 Grammy awards. She was successful a number of musical styles such as R&B and Jazz. Despite being a talented musician, she was better known for her health and drug issues rather than her creative expression.

On July 23rd in 2011, at the age of 27, Amy Winehouse was found dead in her apartment in London. She is described as one of the most talented singers today. She was the first British female singer who received 5 Grammies in a single night. However, at the very top of her impressive career, Amy's lifestyle caught up with her.

In this documentary, Jacques Peretti looks into the ups and downs in Amy's private life. It, unfortunately, consisted of a series of downfalls such as her parents’ divorce and the unsuccessful love relationships. Among other materials, this documentary presents a number of interviews with Amy's family members and close friends.
