Theory of Relativity says that time travel is perfectly possible – if you go forward. Finding a way to travel back requires breaking the speed of light, which so far seems impossible. But now, strange but true phenomena like quantum non-locality, where the particles to teleport instantly across great distances, can give us a way to realize the dream of traveling back and forth through time in a reality . Enter a time machine and rewrite history, bring loved ones back to life, control our destinies.
But if we succeed, what are the consequences of that freedom? Let’s get caught up in a lot of paradoxes and multiple universes that will destroy the fabric of the universe? Einstein said that nothing travels faster than the speed of light, but when physicists see how entangled particles behave, they get stuck in a mirror in which this principle does not seem right.

Physicists do not fully understand entanglement, beyond which is a relationship between the particles. If you want to know what mess looks like, pull up a chair to an experiment that has occurred. Researchers at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis and the University of Geneva, shone a laser made of photons, the basic units of light in the glass. When photons hit the irregularities in the laser crystal, single photons are sometimes divided into two. These photons daughter were related to each other and their parents of photons, in the amount of energy they had.

You can think about the photon father is like a train, and the glass as many potholes. When the train hit the pothole, broke into two strings of cars related to the directions and speeds. These daughter photons were not only related, but intertwined. The particles are entangled they are related to a property, but the rest randomly.

This is the third episode. See the list of all the episodes here: through the hole.

  1. How would you be able to travel at the speed of light (around 300 000km/s.)?Theoreticly, if you were to actually travel att that speed (for some reason), how would you make it without being torn apart from the MASSIVE increase of gravity.I mean, when something without any weight (light) GAINS weight (a relative mass)… Just think about what would happen to YOU.You would die, cuz your bodies “building-parts” can’t travel that fast.Oh! And the gravity would also crush you to nothing. Fun, eh?

  2. I don’t understan though, how your past self can go further back in time to create EVERYTHING (including the matter for creating YOU)… Without dire consequences for the one (the original – you) thats in “current” time. This is only theoretical, since i have no education in this subject, I’m only 14.But based on what I’ve seen so far, and what I’ve learned, this proves to be the most logical explantion that I could come up with. And if anyone with a real education could explain, please do so.

  3. That would create a paradox where they had always gone back in time to create, but I don’t know how it would have been for the original (the ones who did it first).Woldn’t it create a paradox for them too? Wouldn’t they ALSO have been created by their past selves, whom were going BACK in time.

  4. Indeed, assuming time travel was possible, I believe any trip, (back or forward,) would create a new, separate reality; a parallel reality in which different events have taken place. This ideology is, of course, completely uneducated. lol

  5. cheaz1001 says:

Imagine getting in a ship, traveling through time and coming back to shake your own hand before you get in the ship…Would the other version of you travel through time, come back and shake his other version’s hand? If he did then there would suddenly be three of you (original, first handshake, second handshake), and then you would multiply infinitely…. unless you stop yourself.

  6. The way I see it (ignorantly by the way,) is that our time will always be our time. IF a person could travel back and forth between time, it would be completely incomprehensible to everyone else. I also believe that, anytime you theoretically travel, events necessarily can’t be changed. Say you have a Delorean, for example, and you kill my present self. If you were to go back in time and NOT kill me, there would now be two realities. One, in which I’m dead, and another when I’m not; I think

  7. 9Mcgusto6 says:

And also, the end of the world would not effect OUR timeline. Cataclysmic events can’t be teleported through time. The end of the Universe is inevitable. But think, just because there will be an inevitable end to all things, if we made a time machine right now, and travelled to the past, the end of the world would have no bearing on the effects of us travelling back in time.

  8. 9Mcgusto6 says:

That really depends on exactly what effect time travel really generates. You can’t be certain that our timeline is the original. To get an idea of what I mean, check out some of the theories about the effects of time travel.

  9. TehDubster says:

on the contrary. you see OUR TIME now is the real time. the future hasnt been written yet. we have to create the time machine. so in the future when we create the time machine, it will be US going back in time to tell THOSE people. or another theroy. If you meet face to face with urself it rips a hole in time and space and everything gets destroyed.

  10. phil1958uk says:

Just travel very far into the future to a time when mankind is that scientifically advanced, he’s probably created a machine that can travel forwards AND backwards in time. Instead of sending a human being, you could send a message on a piece of paper, asking to send such a machine, back in time.

  11. The Theory that Gravity Affects time may not be true. In theory time travel by a small period, say 2-3 minutes would mean that you would meet yourself in ether the past or the future, as the case of time travel may have been.As we see in the Video Krikalev has spent so much time in space that he is 48th of a second in the future. This Necessarily means that in such a scenario there must be two instances of Krikalev 48th of a light second farther from each other at the same ‘time’. Hence…

  12. WTF, im looking at a pizza,,, and im meant to think this guy is a mr brain. most of this stuff on this an idiot could tell you.. so why are this men payed the big money ? its all we think this we think that,, my cat could think better,

  14. @Sk8er4everAfTeR it probably wouldn’t be worth it to do so lol. but i think there was one experiment to verify one of einstein’s predictions.they put an atomic clock onto a jet which was to travel around the world over a period of a couple months or something like that. and they found that the clock had slowed down a fraction of a microsecond.travelling on a rocket would be faster than that jet, but i dunno whether you’d age noticeably slower.

  15. Smeegall says:

@DrunkenLeprechaunPro Lol, it was definitely salvia. I bought it from an honest vendor. I’m not a major user of psychedelics so that’s probably why it affected me so much. If you google around, you’ll find that vivid childhood memories are a trait of salvia d. Perhaps it only happens to some of us, but it definitely happens. Salvia is no joke.

  16. Smeegall says:

Trust me, salvia divinorum is the best way to go back in time. However, you can only use it to travel back to a time in your OWN life. You can’t visit places you haven’t been to, can’t kill Hitler etc. I relived childhood memories and felt exactly like I used to feel when I was a kid, EXACTLY. I saw my school playground and a student with his back to me. I was completely shocked after I came out of it. Your mind doesn’t forget how you felt when you were kid, it remembers EVERY SINGLE THING.

  17. jairjgv23 says:

Well its said that every action made into the past it doesn’t affect the reality of our dimension, so what’s the point if we are not part of the other dimension, and its impossible to go back in time if u haven’t been in future, cause time is speed and the speed wasted already is gone but the one that’s being produced can be managed at certain levels of fisics

  18. charlesvan13 says:

What he’s describing is a Space-time with closed time-like cuves, which are well known to exist. But people are never going to be able to create a Space-time on a cosmic scale, so there’s no question of engineering a time machine.

  19. djoanzoc says:

And waves are ratios and ratios are the fingerprint of GodNothing does not exist because there allready is something within the nothing (ness?)so nothing is made into something because of our perception; ratios…ratios is solved

  20. djoanzoc says:

A black hole is the opposite of the expanding of the universe]If we think about it and look and our relative time(‘S)…Then we can amagin that anti matter is just the same as matter but not synchronised…with its suroundingsand again Iam right about atoms being little electromagnetic flux of radiant energy that is renewed with the speed of all kinds of radiation as that radiation is being trapped by the fluxits properties are changed so really there is no static particle]only waves
