Another series of the causes of Blue Planet: Seas of Life. This is the definitive series on the creatures most colorful, popular and perfectly adapted to the Earth.  The Life of Birds traverses the globe, exploring 42 countries and examining over 300 species with infrared motion, slow and improved computer effects.

David Attenborough, one of the world’s leading naturalists, home to an extraordinary exploration of the secret lives of these magnificent creatures.  Awesome footage, will be surprised. I have seen this series several times, as it runs on PBS on a semi-regular, and I always seem to see something new.  This series is never boring, is an informative look at the bird life in all aspects of life on this planet, and very well filmed and presented … A must see!

You must be a stereotypical smartass. Don’t assume things about a nation based on the few idiots making themselves known in that nation. Then you just stoop to their level. And based on that statement, we can all assume your country is full of gods who know everything there is to know about the world, so your opinions are null to everyone which means, sir, you have no business trying to put down others when you’re so high up on your horse.

  2. Floydzkrieg says:

There are plenty of lyrebirds around where I live and trust me, this is legit. I was out bushwalking once and heard what sounded like two guys talking but it was just a lyrebird. I was fooled until I actually saw the bird doing it. Amazing animal.

  3. CuriousMoth says:

Yea, these birds don’t really exist. They’re just imaginary. They always do that with critically acclaimed nature documentaries, most of it is computer graphics improvisations because they couldn’t find the real bird (cause it doesn’t exist, obviously).

  4. nuclearzeon says:

Dude, it would be so fun to have that as a pet and have it quote stuff from tv. I would die of laughter if I ever heard it say “I am the cheese. I am the best character on the show. I am better than the salami and the baloney combined!”

  5. DrakonerDE says:

Oh god oh god oh god… (guess he hasn’t met him yet, to mimic him as well). This is a LIVING AUDIO RECORDER. I can’t comprehense how amazing this is. Oo Really hope some people out there make sure these birds survive US humans.

  7. Life in the Freezer, The Private Life of Plants, Life of Birds, Mammals, Undergrowth, Cold Blood, First Life. Had The Blue Planet, but don’t had The Life of Fish. Missing or I’m wrong? I start see Mammals, don’t see the docs after.

  8. Gordontrek says:

Oh come on, you tree huggin’ freaks! You wanna know something? Why do you think God gave us SEEDS? You know what one of the rules for loggers is? For every one tree you cut down, PLANT TWO. They do it all the time. Trust me, I SEE it all the time. So, either learn some facts or SHUT THE FREAK UP.

  9. ajnil2011 says:

as i watched the video, my eyes bulged and my jaw dropped! i knew parrots could repeat words it heard humans say repeatedly, but this is a whole different level! 20 bird species sounds, camera shutters, alarms, chain saws…lyre bird is the kevin spacey of bird kingdom!

  10. SandraFowler says:

It’s even more amazing in person. There was a trail that I used to go hiking on once a week or so. It was called the Lyrebird trail because of all the nesting lyrebirds on it. The sound of them echoing through this gorgeous, cool, temperate rainforest was amazing and serene. I never saw them but their singing was all around you.

  11. SistaBlunt says:

attention bird enthusiasts – i went into the kitchen at approx 2.30am and clearly heard a bird of some kind happily chirping away. im no expert but dont they usually sleep at night? shouldnt the little guy be tucked up in his nest? or could this be the first signs of the appocalypse? all replies welcome.

  12. AdamPrime says:

@VanessaRomantica It’s real. ^_^ Many birds are capable of such things, but the Lyrebird’s the best. Mimicry is their talent, it seems. Bet you he can’t ride a bike, though. Or knit a scarf. It all balances out in the end.

  13. gersh311 says:

Wow this is so sweet. Lucky for me to have stumbled upon this vid. i wish that there was a Youtube Page that listed the 100 top most popular videos for each and every category. from cars, animals music vids, documenteries etc. etc.

  14. BulgeVision says:

I am not even going to state what I believe as I already know it is different to everyone. But you are all as bad as each other (the people arguing I mean) forcing your opinions on each other, cancelling them out. Debates are great but to simply state someone is wrong then insult them whatever your argument is just shows you up as a twat regardless of your belief. On a lighter note this bird amazes me, and makes me realise the mystery in the world, rather than confirming a belief I have. Peace

  15. Gordontrek says:

@seniorortega Gay? No way!!! By “spend eternity together” I mean we can all be friends in heaven one day! Homosexuality is a disgraceful, corrupting sin! You atheists have a huge problem about taking things way out of context. And also, just shut up. It’s a royal shame you had to bring up such a retarded argument on this page. BBCWorldwide, I would much appreciate it if you would delete this and seniorortega’s comment. Absolutely sick.

  16. Geokinkladze says:

For a discussion about evolution may I suggest creationists such as Gordontrek take his/her “logic” to somewhere like biologyonline where it will be slowly but surely unpicked by the boffins. The rest of us will go on with the sure fire knowledge/belief (faith if you wish) that evolution is a scientifically proven fact and that natural selection is one of the methods by which new species emerge.

  17. Gordontrek says:

@Moogal1te You seem to have trouble accepting the fact that natural selection involves absolutely no DNA alteration, therefore destroying any relation to evolution, so obviously your knowledge on this subject is limited. I CAPITALIZE key points because they ARE key points, you have trouble accepting this as well. And yes we’ll meet face to face. See you on Judgmet Day, my friend! I just hope you’ll take off the blinders someday so we can spend eternity together.

  18. Moogal1te says:

@Gordontrek Seriously whatever. Natural selection is a mechanism of evolution. See the previous definition I provided. We’re never going to see eye to eye so I’m leaving it like this. You should probably stop capitalising all of your supposed key points to seem less patronising as well.

  19. Gordontrek says:

@Moogal1te First off, the peppered moth story is an example of natural selection, which is too often confused with evolution. In evolution, new species are supposed to emerge; in natural selection, they either die out or keep living, there is no change in DNA. Evolutionists claim that peppered moths evolved to adapt to their surroundings, but they didn’t. Peppered moths are no different now than they were then. No DNA alteration occurred.

  20. Gordontrek says:

@Moogal1te Did you not pay attention when you read my comment? Mutations occur through a LOSS of genetic information. That is a change, but not an addition of information by any means. And yes I know of DNA uptake, and no, it does not prove evolution. When DNA crosses the cell wall into the nucleus, the genetic information is either DEGRADED or REORGANIZED. Information is still not added. Scratch DNA uptake, another supposed “proof” disproven.
