In order to show both sides of a controversial issue here is a response to last week’s global warming denier documentary. This documentary examines the fossil fuel corporations involvement in the debate. The science buying of these corporations is comparable to Philip Morris spending money to deny the danger of cigarettes. This documentary truly exposes the corporations.

Do not worry about the future, or the possible climate change, God provide for us. Or at least that is what W.Bush and a lot of people think, or is W. Bush a non believer!

Armored models thump their tails in earthshaking applause.
Herbivorous dines waddle and splash in swamp mud.
Carnivores bare their huge fangs, dripping streamers of saliva in approval.
But a wise old dine turns sadly from the TV and addresses his offspring:
“Son, it’s the end of the line.
We are ugly idiot babbling beasts.

Where can this end?
In a natural history museum, our bones gawked at by pimply adolescents.

The single largest source of greenhouse gases, Dave M, is mankind. This is indisputable. All that stuff that global warming deniers have told you about volcanoes and such is rubbish. They account for less than one one-thousandth of one percent of the increase in annual levels of CO2, where as we are pumping millions of tons of CO2 a day into the atmosphere. Also, the only time in the history of the planet that there was massively more CO2 in the atmosphere than now the sun was also 4 percent cooler. As for periods when the planet actually was much hotter, yes life survived. No one is claiming that climate change will eradicate all life. But the question should be ‘will we survive, and how well?’.
CO2 creates the ‘greenhouse effect’, this is a known fact. A simple, yet effective analog, is the planet Venus and the planet Mercury. Venus has an atmosphere composed primarily of CO2. Mercury has little or no atmosphere. Mercury is much closer to the Sun than Venus, yet it’s overall temperature is much cooler. We produce many millions of tons of CO2 that is dumped into our atmosphere. The overall temperature of the Earth is rising. We are, as humans, contributing to the overall rise in temperature. If my analog does not impress, the science of those who do this stuff for a living should.
Fact: it is the human burning of fossil fuels, along with other greenhouse gases that is causing the earth to heat up.
Fact: scientist know more than you, apparently, about the “natural processes” that heat the earth, and know that they certainly aren’t the cause of the large temprature spike we see today.
Fact: spin doctors like to use graphs and data that say otherwise, but they aren’t correct or are misleading.
Fact: you’re Dr. Singer in disguise. I cannot be fooled.
This show seems to be using the same tactics that they are condemning. I have watch many documentaries on both sides and the facts are that green house gases cause warming, but also that huge amounts are naturally created and that we have been much warmer and have had massively higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, but life survived. In my mind the question is not global warming (which is happening), but what is causing it. The truth is we have not been tracking the processes for long enough to know for sure what natural processes roll in this is. It may be arrogant of us to say claim we are the cause like we are more influencial (good and bad) than the planet and the sun. Typical humnan ego.
