The Corporation Documentary - Full Version
This incredibly well put together documentary takes a refreshingly non biased approach to explaining exactly what a corporation is, how they came to be and how they are in general independent of human empathy or social responsibility. It sheds them in a light that is easy to understand and easy to picture how they will end up. The Corporation has an all star cast and is well worth the watch as a prelude to most other political documentaries on this site. Enjoy, vote and leave a comment!

“i mean, I have a lot of faith in the corporation, because it’s always gonna be there, so if you don’t that’s just not good”
He summed up common understanding of the corporation!

Corporations only have rights similar to humans in the US, maybe a few other countries I’m not aware of. In Europe there’s no such thing.

One of the best documentaries going. In depth, educational, and entertaining. A must see for. Also i’, pretty sure there is a documentary out, “McLibel,” that is proof that corporations have such rights in Europe. The documentary is about McDonald’s suing two people for Libel in
England and attemting to force an apolgy out of them pertaining some English law. Sounds like right applied to a person to me.

This should be the featured documentary for business not “Born Rich,” which is an utter waste of your life that you will not be able to buy back . The only thing “Born Rich” will do for you is to show why uber rich kids, some of which are groomed to be our next leaders and decision makers, are so out of touch with the common working man, the two lower classes, and society in general.

I thought of posting this on my Blackboard site for my class in business ethics. Unfortunately, the documentary is preceded by a short video clip of a nude girl. This disqualifies it from presentation in a university context, which is a shame. Didn’t the person’s posting this consider this liability.

I read Bakan’s book, “The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power” and it was great. I could not put it down. This documentary seems to be based on the book, and to be a collaboration of Bakan and others to get the message out. The corporations are ruling, dominating and repressing and destroying the world, and must be harnessed before they destroy us all and the earth upon which we all depend . . . before it’s too late. Too bad most Americans either don’t know, don’t wanna know and, even worse, don’t care. This is why success will be achieved in places like Bolivia, and may not ever be achieved here. Too bad.

This is an excellent Documentary. I think these kind of documentaries should be a part of Business and Corporate law schools collaborative learning initiatives, to shape more ethical and democratic Entrepreneurs, Business Leaders, Economists of future. The software Open source movement is the perfect example to be moving in this direction. I hope in years to come Mankind will be able to create a model which is profitable enough to sustain and also ensure there is more collaborative approach to business.

nm, why does the sight of a human nipple disqualify this from a university context? Can it really be true that human nakedness is more offensive to some people than the story of death , suffering and destruction that follows?

This a very stupid documentary. It is fundamentally biased from far left. You can do the same kind documentaries on marriage, men, women, children, homo sapiens, government, politial parties, Parliament, church and they will all look as ”evil” as the corporation. It is enough to gather some disparate facts, all bad examples and connect them in a conspiracy theory. I wonder how many corporations are involved in the making of this movie, whose shares do the film makers own, how many coroporations profit from the distribution of the film and so on.
It is a waste of time to watch it!
