The slaughter of Nanking, commonly known as the Rape of Nanking, was an infamous genocidal war crime committed by the Japanese army in Nanjing, then capital of the Republic of China, after it fell to Imperial Japanese Army on December 13, 1937.The duration of the slaughter is not clearly defined, although the violence lasted well into the next six weeks, until early February 1938.During the occupation of Nanjing, the Japanese army committed numerous atrocities, including rape, looting, arson and the execution of prisoners of war and civilians.Although the executions began under the pretext of eliminating Chinese soldiers disguised as civilians, it is stated that a large number of innocent men were intentionally identified as enemy combatants and executed-or simply killed outright-as the slaughter gathered momentum.A large number of women and children were also killed, as rape and murder became more widespread.Watch the second part of this documentary here.

Slightly bland and a little boring, this documentary is nonetheless an interesting look into the lives and attitudes of the children of some of the richest people in the world. This documentary was produced by the Heir of the Johnson & Johnson fortune and features some of the most high profile “rich kids”. To be honest, I think I sympathize with some of them.On a final note, I think that this documentary was more of an attempt to brush off the “spoilt little rich kid” stigma from the producer.

The investigation into Arnold Friedman's life started after a federal sting operation, when he received a magazine of child pornography from the Netherlands by mail. In searching his Great Neck, New York home, investigators found a collection of child pornography. After learning that Friedman taught children computer classes from his home, local police began to suspect him of abusing his students. In police interviews, some of the children Friedman taught stated Friedman played bizarre sex games with them during their computer classes. Jarecki interviewed some of these children himself; some stated that they had been in the room with other children alleging abuse, and that nothing had happened. The film portrayed police investigative procedures as the genesis of a "witch-hunt" in the Friedmans' community. The Friedmans took home-videos while Arnold Friedman (and, later, his son Jesse) awaited trial. They were allowed to stay at home in order to prepare for court. The pictures were not made with publishing in mind, but as a way to record what was happening in their lives. The movie shows much of this footage; family dinners, conversations, and arguments. Arnold's wife quickly decided that her husband was indeed guilty and advised him to confess and protect their son.Arnold Friedman pleaded guilty to multiple charges of sodomy and sexual abuse. According to the Friedman family, he confessed in the hopes that his son would be spared prison time. Jesse Friedman later confessed as well, but now claims he did so to avoid being sent to prison for life. He said in mitigation that his father had molested him. Arnold Friedman admitted to molesting two boys, but not those who attended his computer classes. He is also quoted as admitting that, when he was 13, he had sex with his younger brother, Howard, who was eight years old at the time of the abuse; Howard Friedman has said he does not recall this.Arnold Friedman committed suicide in prison in 1995, leaving a $250,000 life insurance benefit to his son. Jesse Friedman was released from prison in 2001 after serving 13 years of his sentence.

This is no ordinary travel documentary; this is total “Hell on Earth”. Warlords, cannibalism, child soldiers on heroin, squalor and total madness. General Bin Laden, General Butnaked, General Mosquito…just imagine the scene in Baboon town. This is a black humorous look at what is a comical yet deadly situation…amazing! What Andy Capper, Editor Vice UK, is said about the film: We came to Liberia with a small team of three and quickly found a local journalist who would be our guide and fixer. Our first shoot location was the prestigious West Point, home to 80,000 people living in that redefine squalor. Thousands of rotting garbage around the neighborhood, which has no sewage system.Almost everyone – including local government officials – defecate and urinate in the open. Drugs, prostitution and armed robbery are the main industries. We got to know some of the residents of West Point, they told us their stories as he smoked heroin and cocaine and we asked for money. Then we visited a local brothel. Women who lived there spoke to us about the UN peacekeepers who have sex with child prostitutes and beat older women, and then not pay.But perhaps the most revealing parts of our trip to Liberia came to the meeting of the main leaders of the nation’s civil wars. There is a tradition in the Liberian militias outrageous noms de guerre assumed. Therefore, our subjects Bin Laden named General, General Rambo and General Butt Naked. The latter, in particular, was one of the Liberian warlords, most famous. He claims to have personally killed 20,000 people, including babies, and sometimes have cannibalized his victims.Today, General Butt Naked is on his birth name, which is Joshua. During our time together, we said that Liberia will surely implode into civil war when the UN leaves again next year. But in the meantime, Joshua wants to redeem himself. He offered us a vision of Liberia that wants to establish, and we are growing for him. He took us to his church, which rehabilitates child soldiers. We watched as he preached his way through Monrovia on a Sunday. Is there a possibility that successful mission, and the civil war still can be avoided in this country so desperately? That’s one of the many questions that arose with our safe return of Liberia. View our documentary about our stay there and see what you think.

While enjoying the sweet taste of chocolate, the reality is totally different for African children. In 2001, consumers around the world were shocked to discover that child labor and slavery, trafficking and other abuses existed in the cocoa plantations in Ivory Coast, a country which produces nearly half the world’s cocoa. An avalanche of negative publicity and consumer demands for answers and solutions soon. Two members of U.S. Congress, Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa and Representative Eliot Engel, New York, addressed the issue by adding a pilot of a farm bill that proposes a federal system to certify and label chocolate products as a slave free. The measure was passed by the House of Representatives and has created a potential disaster for Cargill, Archer Daniels Midland Mars, Hershey, Nestle, Barry Callebaut, Cacao-Saf and other chocolate manufacturers. To avoid legislation that would have forced chocolate companies to label their products “without child labor” labels (for which many major chocolate makers do not qualify), the industry fought back and finally agreed to a voluntary protocol to end abusive child labor and forced labor on cocoa farms by 2005.The chocolate industry fought back. Ultimately, a compromise was reached to eliminate child labor in cocoa plantations in Ivory Coast in 2005. In 2005, the cocoa industry has not complied with the terms of the protocol, and a new deadline for 2008 was set. In 2008 the terms of the protocol is still not met, and another term for 2010 was set.Almost a decade after the chocolate companies, governments and foundations interested in particular spent millions of dollars in an effort to eradicate child labor and trafficking in the cocoa trade, has anything changed?Miki and U Roberto Romano Mistrati an investigation behind the scenes and see whether the allegations of child labor in the chocolate industry are present today.

Child or infant abduction is every parent’s nightmare. This documentary explores what would drive abductors to use violence to abduct a child. The documentary starts with a case of a baby born in Harlem hospital and it was here that she was abducted…from the hospital… and 19 years later the baby or abductor have not been found.Usually the baby can be found and returned to the mother in 95% of the cases…this 95% is also reflected in the fact that this is the characteristic number of lone woman abductors. In cases the abductor steals the baby dressed as one of the nursing staff but in some cases the baby is abandoned if the abductor feels that they have been rumbled and so this makes the search very difficult for the authorities because they do not wish to jeopardise the infant. The abductor often act out a pregnancy in order to feign a pregnancy so that they can get away with the deception. One such example is described in detail in this documentary. The FBI investigators find this to be a characteristic and typical trait in the infant abductor. Tanya Sheldon was given 20yrs imprisonment for her abduction of a new born.Once the abductor comes under pressure due to her pregnancy act and time scale they can become increasingly violent in order to see their way to the goal of snatching the baby.Signs:Fake PregnancyIncreased weightDesperation due to pregnancy time-scales.Unstable relationshipWe see footage of a daylight abduction whilst the mother is dragged behind the abductors car. The offender will usually show off their “new” baby but many people are not convinced that the abductor demonstrates the looks of a new mother…often the baby is simply too old to be passed off as a new born and the abductor is classically arrested.Abduction of a baby BEFORE a baby is even born is probably the most horrific of cases when the baby is actually cut from the womb !! The case detailed in this documentary demonstrates a complex degree of planning to execute this shocking case. This was a plan which backfired and resulted in the death of this would be offender…a lucky escape for Sarah Brady in this instance… but this is not always the case.Another horrific case ends in death of almost a whole family. The mother had died in the process of her having her foetus being removed under “surgery” by the abductor. The missing baby was found but the young son had been brutally killed also. This case had a twist because much of this was to do with checking for paternity of the unborn child…any witness no matter how old was murdered. In Chicago, Annette Williams faked her own pregnancy and had all the classic traits of the child abductor and eventually was almost forced to carry the plot through to its conclusion.Annette Williams and her two accomplices are all serving a life imprisonment sentence. The snatched foetus is now eleven and has the nickname of “miracle baby” but is struggling to come to terms with the full consequences of the crime and the fact that his own biological father was one of the three in involved in the murders and kidnapping.Interesting footage from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children have discovered babies who have been raised by the abductors and image ageing and enhancing software has had success in reacquainting parents and abducted children.Sadly it seems that there still are those who are prepared to kill for a baby.

"This documentary film is an episode of The Biography Channel’s “I Survived - Beyond and Back” series which outlines a profound childhood Near Death Experience. As a result of a martial arts demonstration which went horribly wrong, Raymond Kinman, (a very devout Catholic boy) suffered a traumatic head injury in which he was rendered unconscious – without heartbeat or breathing for twelve minutes, only to be revived by CPR.During this brief period, Raymond had a profound Near Death Experience which was sadly misinterpreted by a Catholic Priest – the coaching he received was, “Since I couldn’t say that I saw Jesus, it was probably a trick of Satan”… resulting in decades of guilt and shame for a nine year old boy.During this brief window of enlightenment, Raymond was reunited with his lost dog, “Skippy” and he met God “face to face”, which eventuated in a life – long inability to reconcile what he was shown (when he died) with what he as being taught in the Catholic Church.Raymond’s message is clean and simple. “Our purpose in life is NOT TO LEARN AND GROW, as is often trumpeted by modern gurus, priests, ministers and teachers, “When I died I was gifted with INFINITE knowledge and wisdom -we have nothing whatever to learn”. “We are here to Love. That is our purpose – all of us”. As a lifelong professional artist, Raymond has also created a series of paintings of some of the images he saw when he died. At his website you can see some of those images, as well as to listen to an audio version of one of his lectures in which he describes his Near Death Experience in remarkable detail:Ray asked Documentarytube to bring this video to the public attention and we felt it a worthwhile inclusion in our selection of videos and we wish him well in the future.http://LovingIsWhy.com"

This documentary follows surprisingly intimate five street children in Romania, where the fall of communism has led to a life on the street to 20,000 children. In a 16-year-old, who leads his band with a mixture of brutality and compassion, a small, intelligent and very articulate 12-year-old boy, these children seem at first still wild and scary in the course of the film of loneliness, despair, and glimpses of hope will transform the way we perceive them.Make no mistake: this is difficult to see. As Children Underground explores the state’s scarce resources to support these children and follows some of the children to their families hard, the scope of the problem becomes bigger and more intractable. However, this documentary offers an unblinking and compassionate look deeply at the extremes of human existence, do not forget easily

In most European countries, circumcisions are performed only for religious reasons. In 1989 I married a Canadian girl very well and we had our first child in February 1992. Although my wife had not seen a circumcised penis until he married me, he realized that circumcision without medical reason was a form of abuse. There have been some comments from my in-laws, but after talking with them also realized that there was no reason for our son to be circumcised or indeed any child without medical necessity was not.December 1992 adopted a son and one of the first questions we asked was, “do you want to be circumcised?” Of course our answer was no.The point of view on circumcision worlds has to change. Most people admit to amputate the foreskin of the clitoris in women is an abuse. There is no difference in the amputation of the glans cover boys.Thank you and please continue to raise awareness about involuntary circumcision.“
