Stupid in America
Stupid in America is a horrible title for a public education program, but some nasty things are happening in public schools in the U.S. and it’s time we face it. School children in New York Abraham Lincoln High told me that their teachers are so dull students fall asleep in class. One student said, “seeing the kids all the time walking in the school to smoke marijuana, you know. It’s a normal thing here.”
We have tried to bring “20/20? Cameras in schools in New York to see for ourselves and show what is happening in schools, but authorities would not allow it. Washington, DC, officials steered us to the best salons class in his district. We wanted to tape typical classrooms but were rejected in state after state.
Finally, school officials in Washington, DC, allowed “20/20? to give the camera a few students who were selected at two schools who had handpicked. One was Woodrow Wilson. Newsweek says it is one of the best schools in the United States. However, students recorded what does not inspire confidence.
A teacher has no control over children. Another “20/20? Student cameraman filmed a boy dancing wildly with his shirt, in front of his teacher. Watch this documentary online and make your own decision … is the American school system producing people stupid?

WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!!! I’m a victim of the system without the college I have attended a lot of things would have been kept from me knowledge wise, this is a sad problem and its something that really needs to be changed.
