The filmmaker employs the nonfiction to her advantage and makes a compelling case against genetically modified food and depicts how easily an ordinary citizen can become a suspect in the eyes of the law. The film shows how Steve Kurtz becomes a suspect when his wife dies in her sleep of heart failure. Steve was preparing an exhibition on genetically modified food when the tragedy happened. The use of petri dishes by Steve was misconstrued by the paramedic and the FBI was reported and Steve was accused of bio-terrorism and murder of his own wife.

For goodness sakes, how stupid can government get in the US? I suppose it was consistent with the mental agility of the president (little ‘p’) at the time; it appears stupidity also flows down the line of authority. How many tax $s were spent on this case?

@docttrent Considering some individuals have circumstances in which there are no options other than these aid programs–what would you suggest? Slow painful death? Politics in and of itself is the problem, not partisan platform.

@edpotkay1 I really enjoyed Food Inc.I recently watched a documentary on here called “A River of Waste” which talks about the pollution from food corporations… It’s very slow to begin with, but picks up pace. If you pay for food from these corporations not only are you paying for an unhealthy, abused, animal- you are supporting the deteiroration of our water supply and paying for communities to be poisoned. And of course there is NO justice for the people who get sick(and die) as a result.
Great video. The interesting thing is that once a person has an experience like this, where they wake up to the ugliness of their culture/society, they never forget. So the Government/Corporations are fighting a losing battle. They cannot succeed in the long run. The question is, how long will their illegitimate and tyrannical hold on power last?

@docttrent don’t get confused between a centralised government and control over people’s liberty though. Both left wing governments (a larger centralised power) and right wing (power given to businesses and smaller governmental powers) can both become totalitarian, i.e fascist. Look up the Political compass to get a better idea of what I’m talking about

And If you blame the Gov. for being over zealous with their investigation, think again what you would demand if you lived next door to them. The word “Art” indicates “A Rare Talent” I saw no Rare Talent here, not much different then the “Weather Underground” as far a miss guided direction.
