In this film by Gary Burns, Canada’s king of surreal comedy, joins journalist Jim Brown on an outing to the suburbs.

Venturing into familiar territory and abroad, which in turn the documentary genre inside out, developing a vivid account of life in the Late Suburban Age.

Since the end of World War II, a type of urban residential development dominate how cities in North America have grown up in the suburbs. In these artificial neighborhoods, there is a sense of careless expansion in a culture dominated car that is needlessly creating more organic communities of old.

Interspersed with comments from various experts on the nature of the suburbs, which follow the lives of several inhabitants of this widespread urban expansion and hear their thoughts. However, in the end, there’s a twist that plays with the falsity of the world they live
