Louis Theroux’s African Hunting Holiday
Louis Theroux travels to the center of the controversial hunting industry in South Africa. It’s big business, drawing thousands of hunters’ holiday a year. Keeping wild animals on the farm fence has made it cheaper and easier to hunt than ever, but Louis discovers that this industry, rather than endanger the species, has increased the number of animals. Staying in a house hunting safaris, Luis learns that every death has a price.

The potential shopping list is endless, ranging from $ 250 for a porcupine than $ 100,000 for a rhino. It is a paradise for hunters. This is a popular tourist attraction – especially among Americans. Louis meets visitors, and try to understand their motivations to kill for pleasure, joining them as they go hunting. Meet the novice hunter Ann-Marie, who originally only came to accompany her husband, but gets caught up in the excitement and decides she wants to try to hunt the same animal. She tells Luis that, apparently, his first death is a total career – although I worry about killing a zebra, because it is too much like a horse. Two local landowners, Piet Venter and Piet Warren, raising animals for hunting and have a sensitivity to surprise the animals they have raised. Be especially careful of trying to ensure that any animal is killed quickly, so suffering minimal trauma.
The veteran former Lolly Fourie, allowing hunting on their land, says no longer hunt as it takes no pleasure today. Listen to their arguments in favor of industry, Louis manages to go on the hunt of their own. Sure if you can really pull the trigger, while looking at a boar by a crossbow arrow at the top faces in beliefs and should make the decision …
