as a former member of the “pentecostal/ charismatic church” (im baptist now) i am not surprised by the practices employed by factions like the “jesus army”
over the years i have known many ppl including myself who have been left physchologically and emotionally damaged by manipulative leaders and i know many good men and women who have been forced out of churches(and paid with their reputations some severely) for standing up to the bullies who run these and similar “High Demand Organisation’s” (which is what they are)

The United Nations Charter on the Rights of The Child (where religion and cults are concerned
states that EVERY child has the right to be raised in an enviroment that allows them to grow learn and develop with being forced to behave in a specific manner to be “acceptable” or be manipulated by those in control

See. This is the difference between religious people and the rest of us. I rather die than live a life set by “God”.
They yearn to be by God’s side again. They want to go back to Eden. They yearn for the life in the past. It’s stagnant. It’s like a endless cycle that repeats itself because God created that cycle.
If I was God for example, I don’t think I can bare watching the millions and billions of life go through heaven and hell over and over forever. Its sad and cruel.
For this reason, I began to love science because science look towards a better future and a better tomorrow. Even if we create things for our own benefit, we do this for the people living today and now.
So, what is true freedom? If I can have the freedom to mess up my life the way I want it to be, I could care less. If it means that my life is not set up by God or chain down like a puppet on strings then I don’t want to be saved. Thank you very much. I live my life without regrets.

so jarring. these people are scum. religion is the plight of our species and until we all wake up and realize it will be an eye for an eye. becky fischer makes me seriously question the first amendment. i am shocked however not surprised at the brute stupidity and gullibility of these people. our children are the greatest asset we have, and feeding their young minds with poisonous evangelical doctrine is perverted on a level that is inconceivable to me.

the only way we can be saved is through unconditional love. its that easy

Not much different than an addiction…which takes place of facing the insecurities inside oneself. Often a cover up for a trauma of some sort. Some of the key points you will notice, is that you are unable to think anything for yourself, every thought process in your head comes from somewhere else. A perfect teaching of not taking responsibility for oneself. Remember the young child who was not able to feel proud for writing a great speech, but instead he was just the pencil holder. Just another place for youth to learn not how to properly take responsibility. I have a great deal of knowledge regarding this and very often the leaders of these troops are suffering from mental illness, often schizophrenia. Often these innocent children are preyed upon because they are so trusting and wanting to be perfect in the eyes of god and everyone around them. You will notice that the emotions can never stay an even “happy”, they always have to feel inadequate and then afraid of the inadequacy they feel. I have seen even more extreme cases of this. The paster was diagnosed and charged with molestation of children and assault and kidnapping. It was so ridiculous that if one of their 10 children wished to go downstairs in the church, they were told the devil would come after them. It was because the adults just did not wish to deal with the children’s wants at the time. Many more examples I have, especially of extreme punishment…for nothing.

im shocked. i wouldnt allow my son near this trend. i am a born and raised catholic, but this is odd. yes children are the future. but do we have any right to brainwash them to be what we want them to be? guidance is a great thing, but this goes too far.us

I cry for America, and its children born so pure and innocent only to have it smashed like the cups in the film.
How can so many of our morals, morals that are the building blocks of freedom and equality come from the same bible that these “people” use to back up their terrible lies and hypocrisy.
Why must we destroy the precious minds of these children?
Whatever will happen to the natural wonder, discovery, and curiosity in these children who have been told that these thoughts are dirty.
What bible do they quote when they say that homosexuality is an abomination the same one that tells us we are allowed to have slaves, and that women are lesser than man?
I just don’t understand how this can be so accepted.

Most of those kids will recover from he effects of this religious indoctrination once they leave their environment and encounter the outside world. sadly, a small number of these kids will grow up clinging to what they have been told and reject any evidence to the counter. Those are the ones who deserve sympathy.

The thing that upsets me the most about this is that they aren’t even teaching the kids about the good things in religion.. they are just scaring them and making them cry for the “sins” of the world. What’s the point of that? they are kids!! Let them have fun! It just causes more division and hate between people and that is definitely not what Christianity is supposed to be about. Crazy to think that if they actually knew what they were doing they’d see what they are teaching these kids is not of God.. it’s for their own empowerment.

Absolutely ridiculous.

I haven’t cried in a year.. I literally got tears in my eyes when watching hypocrite brainwashing at it’s best; in a “western world -, developed -, well educated country”.. I thanked (in my thoughts) my parents, my grandparents and my culture (Finland rocks ) that I spent my childhood with the message “we love you, no matter what you choose to believe, or not believe in….”
