In the Realm of the Hackers
The Realm of the Hackers tells the story of two teenagers, who called themselves Electron and Phoenix, and were members of The Realm, an elite computer-hacking group. This group had hacked into The US Naval Research Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a government lab charged with the security of the US nuclear stockpile, as well as NASA, which were some of the most secure computer networks in the world and that is why this widespread breach baffled the Nation. These hackers would have gone unidentified but for one of the hackers, who called The New York Times to brag about their undertaking.
Ten years after they were arrested, they revealed not only how they did it but also why! This fascinating documentary, directed by Kevin Anderson takes us straight into these unchartered, risky and addictive territories in the lives of the hacker community.

this is a great documentary… I am a little disappointed though that electron allegedly said he regretted spending all his time in the 80′s breaking into systems… mostly because these guys never really harmed anybody and that they showed the way. I feel they should be proud of what they have achieved.
Im a troll and a pirate; just cause i get a few kicks doesn’t mean i or any other troll doesn’t have your back. I find it funny when people just flip out for no reason at all, and im proud of it. That doesn’t mean that i wont turn around and get that persons back when there down. Trolls are made out to be far worse than they are. The trolls hate the brony’s, the pirates hate the corporate-embracers, the old hate the young. We are all brothers do not let those outside divide and conquer.

at the end of the video electron talks about how he is remembered vs how he would have like to have been remembered. He said that he would have liked to have been remembered for helping to create the infrastructure of the web. Well he did. Because of him he forced people to think about how wild and insecure the web really is. He brought about the security infrastructure that has allowed the web to be the economic power house of the world.

Cracking a person and an application are different but both very easy tasks first to crack an app you have to view the source code and remove what ever protection the app has be that HWID or password, If it is obfuscated then just view it in the bite code or the 100101 code (As the noobs call it).Crack an account is much easier, Just get a brute forcer and bam.
these people were not good hackers, im writting this from a calculator and i dont even have the internet, i even hacked into NASA using not a computer but a brush, i hacked them to find out about aliens taking americans ect, but NASA files showed there is no aliens,its turns out americans are just mad,its a side affect from to many mc donalds, ps no americans were harmed in making this comment,, just insulted lol
if your hacker use your brain for helping people fight viruses and making good of your hacking skills like programming because really thats truly what hacking is all about running programs making them and uploading them noobs start out i would say with downloading programs the experts make there own. I think you all need to straighten up and attack the viruses of the dark hackers who are evil.
No. What you must learn depend on your objective.If you want to program microcontroler and some computer programs, yes, choose C.But if you want to make programs to runs at multiple platforms and multiple embedded system(GSM), choose java.if you want make computer programs to only one system or multiples systems(with multiples downloads) choose C++ and C.are many others examples, like program to banks, CLD, physics. what you need to learn depend at what you will do.

haha, changing your MAC address? Getting caught accessing insecure wireless networks? Your NIC won’t work if you specify a MAC in the OS which differs from the hard coded MAC (so changing the MAC is not possible) and accessing insecure wireless networks is not illegal, and you simply aren’t cracking wireless security protocols. I also highly doubt that any one has access logs on their APs.I’d say that your innocent connections to available wireless networks leave you nothing to worry about.
what you’re looking for if you want to hack facebook accounts is probably phishing and sniffing… i would suggest you check how to make a phishing site on google. also you might be interested in backtrack 5 (social engineering toolkit, etc). GOod Luck!

You can download C++ express to start. To get a basic understanding, and get you off your feet you can view youtube tutorials on how to program with C++. This will help you until you start taking courses in the desired programming language. Hacking isn’t all programming though. It’s about getting information that doesn’t belong to you, anonymously
Hey brother im from the UK and only have the most basic of computer knowledge, (using the internet, social networking ect.) likee the averae joe, i was wondering how would i learn to hack? ive been looking into it and the common theme seems to be to learn a programming language, but i dont even know where or how i would start to do that? and at the moment im on windows, and it seems that if i had linux it would be very helpful to me? please help i really want to learn and have that experience
When you finally uncover a password you’ve been trying to get, and start finding out information you get the biggest adrenaline rush you can imagine. Typically you’re already high on caffeine, and your heart beat gets tremendously high. It’s amazing, it’s a puzzle.
not really. not just stupid but lazy hackers too.let me break a rule real quick to give you an example.ex. like me, i got tired of changing my mac addess just to steal wifi, have i gotten caught? no. will i get caught eventually unless i move on. see, not stupid only but also lazy!now FML if i get caught because of this comment, i think im gonna end my lazy streak right now.

hacking can be done …but what i see in the documentary is way to intense of what i thought..because during those days they didn’t use any automated tools or softwares instead they created their own by using the program codes and thats what i liked about it…. smiply amazing!!!
