‘House of Numbers: Anatomy of an Epidemic’ is a documentary film that literally re-writes the story of HIV/AIDS.
It challenges the very base of HIV/AIDS on which the traditional wisdom and facts harped, in a quest to bring a greater clarity to the issues related to this epidemic.
Leung brings to the viewers gripping theories about this disease and explores how the effects of global poverty may have led to so many AIDS-related deaths; how such widely used AIDS drugs as AZT have, themselves, often proved fatal; and whether HIV really exists.
This film treads unchartered territories of investigating how HIV-infection numbers are cooked for monetary and political gain, by presenting the uncensored POVs of virtually all the major players; in their own settings, in their own words.
