Google Me
Jim Killeen, a filmmaker ‘Googled’ his name in a moment of idle net surfing. But he did not stop there; he made the effort of following up on his findings by contacting his namesakes and travelling all around the world to meet and interview them in the quest to either satisfy his curiosity to defeat the innumerable self-imposed social barriers erected since the advent of the Internet.
“Google Me” explores the philosophical subject of self-identity as well as the underlying human conditions that unite us all. The documentary is very entertaining as we are taken through different perspectives on how everything has changed since we embraced technology and internet with open arms.
In this bizarre journey, Jim Killeen the filmmaker in Los Angeles found, among others, Jim Killeen the priest in Cobh, Ireland, Jim Killeen the retired cop in New York, Jim Killeen the CEO in Melbourne, Australia, Jim Killeen the sexual swinger in Denver, and even a lon lost cousin! “Google Me” also features Google’s VP of Engineering, Douglas Merrill, in a discerning interview voicing his thoughts on the subject.

Great movie !! Really enjoyed watching it. Too bad I am the only one with my name
whats your name?
Jim you guys did a BRILLIANT job of this AWESOME thanks for the great feeling from watching it
Jim, I loved your movie. A big shout out to all the Jims. You highlighted about the connection we all have regardless of our difference.
Just because google does not have someone listed with the same name as you does not mean that person is non existent.
well
when i’ve started to watch this movie I thought it will be boring and I will turn it off really quick. But I didnt! What a surprise! It is really nice movie. With a place for laught, witha a place for thought about life etc. … I like it a lot!
dumb!! jim killeen was the best,,
When I google my name I only get myself.
Served with purpose… Amazing Killeen, Jims…
RODEO IS CRUELTY!!!!!! COW BABIES TORTURE!!!!
for christsakes get ur familly off those drugs-they are killing them
I would do this as it seems fun, but I don’t think anyone has the same name as me.
The guy making the documentary can’t hold a conversation to save his life. I mean all he says is “uh huh”, “ok”, “that’s great”. Also that part about the swingers… why put so much footage about that in there. No one wants to see out of shape ugly middle aged women and men talking about strange acts of sex.
i like the movie, and yes i googled my self at the very first time i knew how to use internet and boy was I surprised. I still google myself every now and then. but i never had that thought or the innovation or perhaps the entrpernuership, to explore all roads and direction which can give me back the control of my life and making life better for all including my self.congeratulations Jim, I wish success byond measurs.
JIM..i have google searched my name..and there is only 1 person that share’s my name..and He & I are USA citizens…i have not tried to contact him..because he is under 18. and I am 42. I don’t believe we are related, we just happen to share a very odd name….sounds like another movie..google..stand up…holla at me..PEACE!!
Tolerance.Let people be what they want to be. No war has ever been fought under the name of the scientologist faith. Can’t say the same for any other religions on this planet. I dream of a world where those things don’t really matter.
Damn, that priest sure has his head screwed on straight, which is odd for me to say considering how anti-Christianity I am, and how I nevertheless think the dogma is messed up. And the swinger, god, that guy is screwed in the head. Completely lost.. go figure. I really like what the priest had to say about sex in response to him. Well composed and intelligent, remarkable for such an idiotic, whore society. You don’t see this viewpoint often..
Great film! I really enjoyed it. Didn’t know what to expect and have been positively surprised. Truly inspiring, made me smile all the time. Two thumbs up for Jim Killeen, the filmmaker. Great step out of your comfort zone to do this movie. A big hello from Bolivia.
