The life and far-reaching dreams of Jacque Fresco is revealed in Future by Design. Jacque is regarded to be a modern day Da Vinci by many people.

Jacque is a self-taught futurist who did not restrict himself to a specific field or area of study; he is a student of many inter-related fields.

He is an inexhaustible inventor, was a peer to Einstein and Buckminster Fuller and spent his entire life envisaging of and devising inventions on various scales which used pioneering technology.

As a futurist, apart from being a conceptualist and a theoretician, Jacque is also an engineer and a designer.

It seems you have already come to conclusions with a single documentary(?)Go to The Venus Project website. There’s audio, video and specific information on many subjects including all the common ones talked about.Have you seen this one? /watch?v=KphWsnhZ4Ag

  2. this looks nice.but rich people will have access in this.or they ll make u plant a microchip in ur hand so u can keep up with their system..They take ur money like they pimp you without even asking you.So someday people of earth will be like 3 billion from 6 or 7.the poor wont be able to make kids, cure a decease or so..

  3. And if they had to do this, where would the people go while construction was going on? I wish i could be part of a project that could build a sustainable city of let’s say 1 million people…BUT where the hell would this thing be built? And after its success I am sure many more will be built…but where will there be space for these new cities of the future?

  4. Let’s just say they started to build these circular cities that were almost 100% sustainable 10 years from now… because people would realize they had no other choice. How could that actually work if most of the world is already colonized? Europe for example, all the land is already filled with buildings, pipes, everything from below ground and up. How could they improve the whole city if there is already a city there? Will they have to remove everything and build over it?

  5. MARSBELLA1 says:

the terrible, truly awful, non original and non inspired and insipid music in the back ground, insulting this amazing mans ideas and his intelligence; As though us free thinkers, such as myself are so easily fooled. No one worry, apart from the music producers on this film – music is one of the most powerful forces for the human soul. You will never stop it. its our own heart beats. We are awake. deal with it.

  6. Me: Venus project ehh? I shall counter that with my ‘PENIS PROJECT’!Member: Sigh..do we really have to wear these costumes? This is stupid….Me: hey, that was all I could find in the clearanceMember:……I’m joining VenusMe: No! Up with Penis! Ok that came out wrong…

  7. nevyn1 says:

nothing can substitute a great teacher, and being able to talk to teachers eye to eye is very VERY important, the learning center’s are also a place to learn to work together, you can’t really learn to do that via e-classes. i do think online learning will be a very big thing, but i don’t believe we can cut out the hands-on experience of a classroom without crippling the learning experience

  8. nevyn1 says:

people will always have their ‘opinion’ but by giving them the RIGHT to an opinion you also give them the RIGHT to enforce their opinion how uneducated the source may be. and that is the problem this man addressed. i had the luck to be poor in a rich country which forced me to really examine the social needs i have to meet without the ability to just buy them like everyone around me. coming from that experience and the knowledge it brought me i can say, your the sheep. méh!

  9. LOL! The best way to be in tune with nature and a healthy lifestyle is to live in overpopulated cities and skyscrapers counting on magical automation technology that still does not exist even within the biggest and richest of companies. The bills for such a city…magically there are no bills because all involved will do it for free so they can live in their 10×10 room in a skyscraper. Brilliant.

  10. StephHdc says:

if you want slaves…yes money systems will work for the few and the many left with nothing…because we are in debt for everi have faith in this project…after the shift in our concisousness it will be much easier to transformer into this new way of living…love over comes all

  11. CntthnkO15 says:

What do you think communism is? What you saw in SU was fascism, not communism. Communism, if I am correct, follows Marxist values, same as socialism. Marxists do not value government, any type of ruler entity, and any type of “trade;” trade creates classism, unfortunately, it’s built into our current system. Almost as if inequality was the purpose of this current “money-market system.” Makes sense if you know how banking works.

  12. ionvkch says:

@jacquard2009 fresco quotes, figure them out for yourself. he also used to work for the UN, and we all know what a glowing organization that is.‎”Never give people the right to their own opinion!” – “If we try to visualize the future without families. there’s fear, so when we make movies we put families in there. There will be no families. Those people won’t want children. We do a survey of the carrying capacity of the earth, and that tells us how many people the earth can support.”

  13. whatrwe777 says:

For all of this to be actualized we’de have to undergo a shift in perception and VALUE SYSTEM. Our egoistic desires to only suit ourselves is what halts our progression. The current motivation for everything is to be better than my neighbor. The internal look at oneself needs to be posed by every member so the choice can be made and then actualized. This would only be made possible by a form of integral education. Education would lead to the choice or else it would just be communism.

  14. Joey1TRFC says:

@peaceinstead ha. i love this.. ive mentioned a few times, tongue in cheek, if i won the lottery id promptly set up somthing similar.. because it obvious we are seein no radical reform any time soon. and with diabolical speculation and goings on with our tyrannical leaders. and what ever else. it makes perfect sence. alas.. im depressed. haha.

  15. @fukitol1000mg I’m sure he’d prefer something a bit more economical. Maybe, little Jacque Fresco action figures that turn children’s hand sweat into wireless electricity. Or a hologram, of a statue of him holding a model of the city hosting the hologram of the statue of the model, etc.

  16. eradeziel says:

@MrAdvancedAtheist He doesn’t consider ‘human nature’ to be a fact at all, merely learned behaviours. It’s perhaps a little conceited to assume in his 70 years of serious thought on these subjects that he’s naively overlooked such simple objections as yours.

  17. Yawn. Fresco hasn’t learned anything from history in the past 70 years. He came of age when intellectuals thought that the cool utopian civilization called the Soviet Union showed us “the future that works.” Today’s futurology has to incorporate the unknowability of the future and the fact that human nature resists the imposition of politically correct beliefs by central planners like Fresco. Look at how men mock feminist indoctrination, for example.

  18. peaceinstead says:

Love you Jacque and all you Venus Project fans!! We at OneCommunityRanch ( dot org) are putting many of your ideas to reality. We are building a sustainable city, building eco homes, growing organic food, and offering everything we do open source to share freely with the world. We are building a huge community and accepting members. Come to our site and see! Peace and Love to you all!!! Thank you for all you are doing!

  19. @TRYCLOPS1 maybe you can start spreading the word. I’m in Texas too, and this man is completely brilliant! Imagine all the people that have not heard of this? I can’t believe this is not on the news or more publicly discussed in the media, oh wait I have an idea of why: money and most people’s warped perception that money means something. Why BUY food, when we can GROW our ow? I still don’t understand how this concept does not make sense to most people. Soon, the truth will be brought to light.

  20. He’s right about a lot of things. Technology will definitely be the only way to a better life. Cant remember being thankful for politicians bankers and wars lately. The sooner people accept this amazing alternative the faster it will happen.
