“Originally aired on HBO and directed by Apollo 13 stars Tom Hanks and space enthusiast, among others, From the Earth to the Moon explores the ups and downs of space travel, beginning with President Kennedy’s famous speech before Congress on May 25 1961, and chronicling the journey to putting the first man on the moon.

This acclaimed, Emmy-nominated, 12-episode series is available in a series of six VHS tapes and a set of four DVDs.

When I saw this miniseries I thought about getting it, because I see everything that has to do with space. But when I saw that was made by Tom Hanks and Ron Howard said: “”I’m definitely this is!”"

I have it and love it! It really makes you feel like you’re there and makes you wish that was the real thing.

Please look up the “world liberation day may 5th meditation” video on youtube. Be responsible by recognizing yourself as part of the world, and therefore part of the world’s condition. Be responsible for peace. Thank you everyone.

Alot of the statements are made by notable scientists that work in the field and can be corroborated, but two things you have to beware of. First, not all of it is, either made by scientists, or are corroborated, or neither, Some is bullschit. Secondly, there’s a lot of “spin” to how their statements are filmed, either by their sequence or by the dramatization & special effects. Be careful when they cut in an interview. Usually, that’s your cue that they taking statements out of context.

  3. What you just said is meaningless and it doesn’t prove anything. Since in all cases where we know that “any object” has interacted with with the stream of photons (Your language is overly broad here, “anything interacting with any other thing” doesn’t really make any sense and cannot be supported with the scientific method) a human being is notified, an intelligent observer is impossible to rule out of the equation. I believe that an intelligent observer is the cause of the collapsed waveform.

  4. Factual errors Depiction of quantum mechanics in the movie bears no resemblance to the real theory of that name. In particular, the common misconception that the “observer effect” is dependent upon a sapient, human observer is incorrect. If any object interacts with any other, and either requires information regarding the current state and properties of the other, then that constitutes an observation.

  5. Misothiests? I’m sorry, but many atheists don’t hate God — that is impossible since God does not exist. Most of us simply hate aspects of your beliefs. For example, some athiests may hate that Christian morality being forced on them. Some may be annoyed that you believe in something without evidence and believe they are educating you. Some, like myself believe we are engaging in discussion as a means of furthering human knowledge (this is hardly irrational).

  6. It is clear to me now that man desires to reach-out to the supernatural and metaphysical. To be touched by the divine. I am convinced after witnessing on YouTube so much negative outpouring towards Christians from misotheists. These individuals expend incredible amounts of time and energy to hate on Christians for simply quoting bible verses. Since this is quite irrational and unhelpful to the misotheist, I must consider that such energy could actually be a masked cry for help.

  7. Actually I think this has a lot to do with quantum wave-function collapse, lookup quantum superposition on wikipedia. I want to see if there’s a relationship between quantum entanglement, wave-function collapse and prayer.

  8. We could argue that anything is possible in a way but if we drop the requirement for evidence then there are countless numbers of things that we could believe just because they are impossible to disprove. a teapot around Jupiter might have created the universe. but is it useful to believe such things ?

  9. I am a Religious Studies major meaning I study all religions and analyze them. No truth claims though. I have to say I loved this so much it falls close to what I believe in my personal life. Key here is not to over think it get a basic understanding walk away foe a week then come back makes more sense than you could ever hope for.

It wasn’t an off the cuff remark. There is absolutely no evidence of any of this. James Randi has offered publicly $1 mill. to anybody who can prove any supernatural claim, be it telekinesis, esp, past life regression, etc. I used to be extremely interested in this area, I wish it were true, but sadly it is not. Check out skeptic.com to learn how to think like a skeptic, it will help one become less gullible. (I’m not saying that you are gullible!)

  11. Serouisly says:

funny how ignorant humans are. We value our intelligence at a higher level than the extreme intelligence of God. In fact, we are so caught of pride that we will say we are smart enough that we dont need God, or we might know he exists but we choose to reject him. What help does that do? I view humans as ignorant and stupid… rebellious

  12. acefrapple says:

Re: your description; Not scientific? To me, the *point* is that science is “catching up” to what spiritual teachers have said for thousand of years. Someone who cannot accept this is just not spiritually/psychologically ready, so just thank them for their “profound insights” and send them on their way with love.

  13. @silkysmooth2012 i am just sad to find out that Ramtha is actually a 35,000 year old spirit warrior from ancient atlantis who uses the blonde woman JZ KNIGHT as a channell… she is acting…and has got rich off of this delusion… just the fact she is in the film ruins it for me.. crazy pants

  14. snoelke1 says:

I realize this movie is very hard for most to even begin to grasp. Physics, especially quantum physics, are not for people that get headaches trying to simply think outside of ‘their’ perception of reality. However, I believe if you can open your mind long enough and set all your preconceived notions aside you can begin to get it, if you really want to. Please just don’t be lazy! Putting off complex, complicated things to the usual suspect (god) is just plain lazy. However, each unto his own!

  15. It gets better in the second half .. and there is a lot of life lessons and philosophical thoughts and so on that are pretty deep .. We all can learn from this movie .. I thought it was wack at first as well .. Trust me I saw this movie in my psychology class b4 ..

  16. Sp33dyMik3 says:

@odiumhumanigeneri616 ok i get what you mean about no being the same, cuz as much as i beleive we are one, people make me lose faith but it doesnt mean its not true. and as for the odium humani generis… all i got was a band.. and im not a fan. sorry..

  17. @Sp33dyMik3 The essence, or Force is one that is in nature, few people appreciate it. That’s why they say most people are disconnected from nature and from reality. People live shallow meaningless lives. In theory there could be a unifying force among humanity, however due to the absolute idiocracy of the human race, I’d say its not the case. As for me being the same as the above people, I’m certainly not. Google Odium Humani Generis.

  18. sayroni says:

@JAGWAH66 first of all i didn’t said anything about the name either i had an opinion on it,i just wrote the name of the video that’s all.what i’m trying to say is try to be objective and see both sides, both the movie, and the hard critics about it..if i insulted you in some way i’m sorry it wasn’t my aim…

  19. jmw1500 says:

I love how this got a million views. People are so sad. With M theory you have to make up 12 dimensions just to make the math come out. Theoretical physicists are stuck on speculation and should not get so much credit as scientists i’m sorry to have to say.

  20. Sp33dyMik3 says:

@odiumhumanigeneri616 you clearly missed her very important point then. please explain to me what is so stupid about that. she is talking about what is clearly our view in the world today, that we are individuals, seperate from everyone else living our own lives in our own little world. this happens everyday. do you not feel as though you are seperate from everyone else? in reality its the complete opposite, we are one. what is essence in you and me is one, we are the same not different.
