A special look at Egypt under Hosni Mubarak. Al Jazeera English has been widely praised for its in-depth coverage of events in Egypt, through multiple forms: printing, photography, video, live broadcast.

A documentary on Al Jazeera prepared in 2008 in Egypt and Mubarak has broadcast a series of North American educational or informational.

The documentary was done more to explain the latest events in 2008, but a good summary of the rise to power of Mubarak, and the reasons for the progressive dissatisfaction with him.

The main thesis is that when negative negative political economy met a turning point was reached. However, in the description of a judges’ protest against Mubarak interference in the judicial process, the documentary also became clearer to me than what the average current protesters by professionals Mubarak theft of their dignity to perform their functions.

Furthermore, it follows the rise of Gamal Mubarak and the way it has also become a point of inflection. I recommend the 48-minute video as an excellent background paper for today’s events, and strategies for Mubarak.

It is about time. 30 Years of humiliation, corruption, police brutality, one man rule, nepotism, and loss of dignity, is that more than enough? Continue your right cause and dont give up till you are the ones choosing your leaders and the leaders are bidding for your interests.

I wonder whether making and airing this documentary is somehow responsible for the targeting of Al Jazeera by the government now that the revolution has actually started?

  14. gamoonbat says:

    - What can the United States do to forestall that now?
