‘Blood Coltan’ is a shocking documentary about the bloodshed in Congo arising out of an increasing demand for Coltan, a mineral which is an essential component of electronic circuits used in mobile phones, computers, etc, and mined in the Eastern Congo.
The West’s demand for Coltan is funding the killings in Congo; young children are forced to work in mines to find Coltan.
This documentary exposes the hands behind this trade, who fan their own interests at the cost of the local population, even though The UN has made laws against it.
