Beslan School Siege examines the background that led to one of the bloodiest act of terrorism ever to take place in the soil of Russia, the Beslan tragedy. The film also documents how a small town is coming to terms with the loss of its children.
The documentary attempts to answer many unanswered questions behind the Beslan school siege like Russian state’s reaction to the atrocity and the motivation of the hostage-takers.
Till date there has been no agreement on who and how many terrorists were there. Where they came from and how they got to Beslan, what they wanted and how the siege which began on September 1 2004, ended so catastrophically. These are the question raised by the filmmaker.
This film employs testimony from eyewitnesses, survivors and security services. It is interspersed with video and audio archive footage thereby presening a complete and full account of what happened at Beslan.

those kids have such hate feelings against the terrorists, at such a young age. No psychiatrist in the world can fix that.It’s SO SO sad! They had such a bright future, and now they can never have a normal life again.

Yes and the cycle of violence will begin all over again. More blood, more death and more tears for the cameras to record for the six oclock news. Violence begets violence; instead we should be looking for ways of resolving conflict rather than breeding a new generation of killers which only perpetuates the problem.
some where deep in their hearts, they want a revenge, I would do the same thing.They became angry and rare children and in about few years when the will be 18 and over, they will make their Jugement Day anginst terrorists.

terrorists are just cowards. using children and a school as a weapon if just sick!! they sould learn to fight a real fight and not use innocent things to win, as always, they lost. yes russia lost life, but they still have respect. and the people who say there is a god, why are innocent kids dying and rapists and terrorists still alive?? the only way i will believe in god is when he shakes my hand and says hello. these kids and adults have the most repect!! xx
fighters from Spetsnaz Vympel and Alfa show themselves like real heroes,as i remember almost 12 soldiers from Spetsnaz die during the battle.They close hostages from shooting of terrorist rifles by themselves.
