troy kell was screwed when at 18 he was given life no parole,and then having nothing to ever look forward to , having to live in prison, a ruthless, dangerous existance, no one out in the world could even imagine how terrible that would be,he desevred to be free after 15 years, it is so sad that he will never be out in the world, his actions were how life is in ruthless prison enviriorment, he was fighting for his life,i only hope he can find some happiness somehow,

i currently live in boston mass,ive been arrested too many times to remember.i did time in georgia and boston and its all true u gotta do what u gotta do when locked.My first incerceration i just turned 18 and the judge sentenced me to 30 days for a misdemenear offence to teach me a lesson.I was probably the youngest inmate at the time in a georgia county jail.The guards do not help u if something happens and u have to watch your ass its easy to get caught up.In 2010 i got 2 duis in one year,i was looking at 2 years mando for probation violation .There is nothing to do inside but deal with other peoples bullshit if someone twice your size punks u out u will always be a punk.u gotta throw down and show no fear and make people respect your space,i got lucky jail is full so they let me out after 60 days,but i owe about $10000 to the courts.I since changed my ways because now im 35 and getting too old for bullshit u either do or die.

wow, i’ve done my time, in & out “the system”, like some 13 christmastrees as we say in the Netherlands (Europe).Seeing this makes me humble and emotional, knowing that our system is getting the same as yours. But even then again, also a “golden” cage is a cage !!! In the middleages, they kicked somebody out of ít’s village, meaning his family & friends. His or hers comfortzone. The brother of the victim said it all !! Only love will conquer, nothing more, nothing less!! Now, allmost 5 christmastrees no booze or dope, I will not forget . Even as an atheist. Amazing….What more needs to be said?
This shows how much we really do need to do something about rehabilitating prisoners. Its not just the offenders that benefit its other people aslo, their familys, officers in the prison, and the public if there going to be released.
My goodness…The guy really did grow up in the penal system.
Anyway, it is an informative documentary. I’d recommend it.
